Typography Tuesday

Over the fall we travelled to Europe for three weeks - France and Italy to be exact. It was amazing. A-may-zing. Move over New York City, because Italy might just hedge you out as favorite place ever ... But I love that - how there are places out there and adventures to be had that have the ability to make you look at things differently.

I digress ... While on the train from Naples to Sorrento, Italy I noticed the above graffiti. I had my husband take a picture of it because I really liked the style of the writing and thought it would make a cool typeface. Already been done. I stumbled across this, appropriately named 'Italian Football'.

Not that I condone defacing public property, but whoever did this really did a nice job combining a script with a bold 'type face'! And if you're wondering what it says, I think it's something along the lines of 'Nicola lives in our hearts', but I'm by no means fluent in Italian.

It's my full intention to get it into gear for 2011, so if I can actually follow through with blogging regularly, I'll be sharing some Europe photos and helpful tips that I picked up along the way - so stay tuned!
